Total Immersion Open Water Swim Camp

Antigua, Island in the Caribbean

Looking to boost your open-water confidence, improve your swimming technique? This is your opportunity to swim in the ocean in a supportive environment.

🌟 What to Expect:

✅ Open-water swimming made easy – Gain confidence, learn smart techniques, and enjoy the waves! 🌊🏊‍♂️
✅ Effortless swimming techniques – for growth mindset swimmers looking to  move smoother and stronger! 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️
✅ Breathtaking location – Train in the stunning, blue waters on the island Antigua.

This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate swimmers seeking Total Immersion instruction in the open water. Our philosophy is Kaizen swimming; creating continuous improvement by setting your intention to improve one swim skill at each session.

This is a technique-focused camp, teaching you to swim in open water with greater ease and flow, which allows you to swim long distances utilizing thousands of effortless uninterrupted strokes. Our camp is perfect for triathletes seeking to exit the water fresh and ready for the bike.

The Total Immersion Effortless Endurance – Level 1 workshop and Smart Speed Workshop – Level 2 is integrated with an open water workshop to give you an intense 3 day program.

It is highly recommended that attendees be able to swim 200 yards/meters comfortably to obtain the greatest benefit from this open water experience and have some familiarity with the Total Immersion drill sequence using balance, streamline, and propulsion.

Jolly Beach, Antigua

Nestled on Antigua’s protected southwest coast, Jolly Beach offers a mile-long stretch of powdery white sand and calm, crystal-clear turquoise water—making it an ideal location for an open-water swim camp focused on technique, endurance, and confidence building in safe Caribbean conditions.

Jolly Beach lies in St. Mary’s parish, between Bolans Village and Jolly Harbour, facing west onto the Caribbean Sea. The bay is sheltered from Atlantic swells by the island’s geography, resulting in flat, clear water year-round with excellent visibility (25–30 feet) and minimal sargassum. The beach spans roughly 2,000 metres (1.1 miles), providing ample space for structured swim sets, group drills, and open-water navigation practice without feeling crowded.

Water Conditions for Swim Training

  • Calm and sheltered: No documented rip currents; safe for swimmers of all levels.

  • Warm water: Average August sea temperature ~29°C (84°F), suitable for extended sessions without wetsuits.

  • Clear visibility: Turquoise, transparent water supports technique feedback and safety spotting.

  • Gradual entry: Wide, flat shoreline with shallow lagoons ideal for warm-ups, drills, and progressive depth work.
